Jamie’s earliest memories centre around plane spotting, air shows, aero-jumbles and tinkering with engines and old cars.

Jamie spent his childhood in Switzerland, but returned to the UK to study at age 18. He completed his PPL and IR(R) in 2009 at Manston in Kent, before going to university to study Music and Sound Recording.

After a career in music technology and recording, he has returned to his lifelong passion of aviation, and discovered the joy of teaching people to fly. Jamie has flown general aviation aircraft all over Southern Africa, the US and Europe. He holds FAA and Namibian licences.

When not flying, Jamie can be found in the workshop repairing a car or bike, at the crag rock climbing, or spending quality time with his daughter.
